In a session on the process and methods used by the maker movement, Masakazu will show how ingenious technology and art is made in Japan today.
Masakazu Takasu is technical evangelist of teamLab.inc, a Japanese ultra-technologists group of specialists on programming, mathematics, architecture, design and more. Their work is created through “experimentation and innovation”, making the borders between science, technology and design ambiguous.
The influence of western culture wasn’t felt in Japan until late 19th century. teamLab base their thinking on the assumption that up to this time, the Japanese might have had a different way of understanding the world, and as a result have a different perspective of tech possibilities today.
